The purpose of the group is to facilitate shared thinking and practice on information research and evaluation for policy development and evaluation in Luton and ensure that best use is made of investment in data and expetise across the partnership.

The Forum has been given a number of additional tasks and responsibilities to manage and monitor Luton's Local Area Agreement. It is a statutory duty for the local authority to produce a Local Area Agreement and to co-operate on LAA targets in partnership with other public bodies through the Local Strategic Partnership.
